Samba and Scarecrows

02/07/2012 § Leave a comment

Giant scarecrows and samba at the Wilmslow Scarecrow Festival.

You really do see some odd things around, but nothing can beat the sight of two 12ft scarecrows walking down the street to the rhythm of a Batala Drumming Band.

It was all part of the Wilmslow Scarecrow Festival 2012, which is into its third year and sees local businesses build scarecrows to display on the street, in shop windows or on the rooftops of their premises. Kids and parents then travel around the town centre trying to find all of the scarecrows – more of that in a future post.

In the meantime, here are the two 12ft scarecrows, called Rotary Robin and Rosie, along with the Batala Drumming Band. As usual click the images to enlarge them.

I hope you enjoy the images, feel free to leave comment, till next time.

Thanks

Steven
