Happy Easter to you all, I hope you are all having a great weekend.
As you can probably tell this is a little diffferent from previous posts on my blog. Every Good Friday for the last three years, Manchester has had the tradition of holding a Duck Race in the Spinningfields area of the city on the River Irwell. There are two races: a corporate race for big ducks that have been dressed by businesses who have sponsered the ducks, and a main event with a family race which includes thousands of little yellow duckys being thrown into the river and swimming along to win. These photos are mainly from the family race. They were shot using my brand new wide angle lens. Click to enlarge the images.
Also before the Duck Race began, there was a range of activities being held at Spinningfields, mainly for the kids, but the grown ups enjoyed them too. My particular favourite was the Duck Herding. It was such a funny little sport and who does not love seeing a duck paddling about? It was just so cute.
Once again have a great Easter and thanks to all the followers of this Blog – I hope you enjoy the photos. Feel free to leave any comments – till next time.
